Titus 1:1-2 (SDA Clear Word Bible)
1 This letter is from Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I was called to take the gospel to the Gentiles and to let those who respond know that they are now part of spiritual Israel -- God's very own people. This truth will lead them to a life of godliness.
2 based on a faith and knowledge firmly rooted in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised to give us through Christ Jesus before this world ever began.
