How Does the SDA Clear Word Bible Compare to God's Word?

We know we are in for a surprise when the SDA Clear Word Bible has to replace the Scriptural "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren" with "Brothers, I want you to know the truth of what I told you when I was with you." "know the truth of what I told you when I was with you"? That sounds more like a confession that what they were told at first was a lie!

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (King James Version)

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (New International Version)

13 Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.

14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

15 According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

18 Therefore encourage each other with these words.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (SDA Clear Word Bible)

13 Brothers, I want you to know the truth of what I told you when I was with you. Your loved ones who have died are sleeping in Christ. Don't grieve over them as people grieve over their dead, as if there was no hope.

14 Jesus died and rose again; therefore, those who died believing in Him will be raised to life by God just as Jesus was.

15 We're telling you this by the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. What He taught us was that we who are still alive when He comes will not be taken to heaven ahead of our loved ones who have died in Christ and are now sleeping.

16 When Christ descends from heaven, He, as the archangel, will give a shout of command -- a trumpet call of God to the dead -- and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then those believers living at that time will be changed and, together with those who have been resurrected, will be caught up in the sky to meet the Lord in the air, and from then on, we will all be with the Lord.

18 So comfort and encourage each other with these words.

Why does the Seventh-day Adventist Church officially promote this distorted Bible in the adult Sabbath School Lesson Quarterly?

TCW completely eliminates that God is spirit (Ellen said He had a body). It eliminates the fact that we have spirits that must worship Him. It completely eviscerates the meaning of that text!!
