Exposing Adventism - Christ pleads three times with the Father before permission is given

Quote:

Sorrow filled Heaven, as it was realized that man was lost, and the world that God created was to be filled with mortals doomed to misery, sickness, and death, and there was no way of escape for the offender. The whole family of Adam must die. I saw the lovely Jesus, and beheld an expression of sympathy and sorrow upon his countenance. Soon I saw him approach the exceeding bright light which enshrouded the Father. Said my accompanying angel, He is in close converse with his Father. The anxiety of the angels seemed to be intense while Jesus was communing with his Father. Three times he was shut in by the glorious light about the Father, and the third time he came from the Father his person could be seen. His countenance was calm, free from all perplexity and trouble, and shone with benevolence and loveliness, such as words cannot express. He then made known to the angelic host that a way of escape had been made for lost man. He told them that he had been pleading with his Father, and had offered to give his life a ransom, and take the sentence of death upon himself, that through him man might find pardon; that through the merits of his blood, and obedience to the law of God, they could have the favor of God, and be brought into the beautiful garden, and eat of the fruit of the tree of life. (Spiritual Gifts, Vol. 1, p. 45)

The Protestant Gospel teaches that we are saved only by the merits of Christ's blood. Adventism teaches that there is a second critical component to our salvation. Our salvation also requires our successful obedience to the law of God.

This quote also shows the Arian view of Jesus, separate from the Father in that He needed to arrange a pow-wow to produce a plan of salvation after the fall. It took three times of God the Son pleading with God the Father before God the Father gave His permission for Jesus to die.

It also shows that the angels were informed of this plan before it was enacted, and that it was enacted after the fall of adam and Eve. It didn't occur to Ellen that satan is also an angel, and this doesn't set well with 1 Corinthians 2:6-8:

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

The plan of salvation, ordained before the world was created, was kept a secret. According to this text if Satan had "known it", history would have been vastly different.
