Exposing Adventism - SDA Time of Trouble

Quote:

"The remnant in the time of trouble will cry, ‘My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?’" (Special Manuscript, 2a)

Quote:

"All the fifty-fourth chapter of Isaiah is applicable to the people of God, and every specification of the prophecy will be fulfilled. The Lord will not [utterly] forsake His people in their time of trial. He says, ‘For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather thee. In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.’" (SDA Bible Commentary, vol. 4, 1148)

Quote:

"We are standing on the threshold of the crisis of the ages." (Prophets and Kings, page 278)

Quote:

"Man as well as angels must see the contrast between the Prince of Light and the prince of darkness. He must choose whom he will serve." (Desire of Ages, page 761)

Quote:

"As Satan accuses the people of God on account of their sins, the Lord permits him to try them to the uttermost. Their confidence in God, their faith and firmness, will be severely tested. As they review the past, their hopes sink; for in their whole lives they can see little good. They are fully conscious of their weakness and unworthiness. Satan endeavors to terrify them with the thought that their cases are hopeless, that the stain of their defilement will never be washed away." (Great Controversy, page 618)

Quote:

"The 'time of trouble, such as never was,' is soon to open upon us; and we shall need an experience which we do not now possess and which many are too indolent to obtain. It is often the case that trouble is greater in anticipation than in reality; but this is not true of the crisis before us. The most vivid presentation cannot reach the magnitude of the ordeal. In that time of trial, every soul must stand for himself before God." (Great Controversy, page 622)

Quote:

"I could not sleep past two o’clock this morning. During the night season I was in council. I was pleading with some families to avail themselves of God’s appointed means, and get away from the cities to save their children. Some were loitering, making no determined efforts. The angels of mercy hurried Lot and his wife and daughters by taking hold of their hands. Had Lot hastened as the Lord desired him to, his wife would not have become a pillar of salt. Lot had too much of a lingering spirit. Let us not be like him. The same voice that warned Lot to leave Sodom bids us, "Come out from among them, and be ye separate,... and touch not the unclean" (2 Corinthians 6:17).  Those who obey this warning will find a refuge. Let every man be wide awake for himself, and try to save his family.  Let him gird himself for the work. God will reveal from point to point what to do next." (Selected Messages, Book 2, 354)

Quote:

"The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains." (Testimonies, Volume 5, page 464)

Quote:

"The most momentous struggle of all the ages is just before us." (Testimonies, Volume 5, page 711)

Quote:

"The conflict that is right upon us will be the most terrible ever witnessed." (Testimonies, Volume 6, page 407)

Quote:

"We are on the very verge of the time of trouble, and perplexities that are scarcely dreamed of are before us. A power from beneath is leading men to war against Heaven. Human beings have confederated with satanic agencies to make void the law of God. The inhabitants of the world are fast becoming as the inhabitants of the world in Noah's day, who were swept away by the Flood, and as the inhabitants of Sodom, who were consumed by fire from heaven. The powers of Satan are at work to keep minds diverted from eternal realities. The enemy has arranged matters to suit his own purposes. Worldly business, sports, the fashions of the day --these things occupy the minds of men and women. Amusements and unprofitable reading spoil the judgment. In the broad road that leads to eternal ruin there walks a long procession. The world, filled with violence, reveling, and drunkenness, is converting the church. The law of God, the divine standard of righteousness, is declared to be of no effect." (Testimonies, Volume 9, page 43)

Quote:

"Over and over the message has been given to me that we are not to say one word, not to publish one sentence, especially by way of personalities, unless positively essential in vindicating the truth, that will stir up our enemies against us and arouse their passions to a white heat. Our work will soon be closed up, and soon the time of trouble, such as never was, will come upon us, of which we have but little idea." (Testimonies, Volume 9, page 240)

Quote:

"It is impossible to give any idea of the experience of the people of God who shall be alive upon the earth when celestial glory and a repetition of the persecutions of the past are blended." (Last Day Events, page 266)

Quote:

"The time of trouble is the crucible that is to bring out Christlike characters. It is designed to lead the people of God to renounce Satan and his temptations. The last conflict will reveal Satan to them in his true character, that of a cruel tyrant, and it will do for them what nothing else could do, to uproot him entirely from their affections." (Our High Calling, page 321)

Storm Bringer - Posted on Thursday, December 13, 2007:

I'd recommend SDA's to visit Voice of the Martyrs online or get some magazines and tapes to look over. SDA's think they are the only ones who will be persecuted and for the most absurd reason...over a worship day.

People TODAY are losing their lives, families are threatened, believers are being tortured, thrown in jail, having homes and churches burned down all because of their faith in Jesus. To think things are only going to be hard for sabbath keepers are the ones who need a reality check.
